Terms of use
These terms cover the AI Remote apps for Garmin devices (AI Remote, AI Remote for Edge, AI Remote Face and AI Remote Ride) and the relay that connects them to GPT, all provided by Falkster.com (San Francisco, California, USA). By installing or using them you agree to these terms.
What AI Remote is
AI Remote lets you ask OpenAI's GPT from your Garmin watch or Edge, using your own OpenAI API key, or connect an agent of your own instead. It is not made, endorsed or supported by OpenAI or Garmin. OpenAI's terms apply to your API account and to what OpenAI does with your requests; Garmin's terms apply to your device and the Connect IQ Store.
What you need
A supported Garmin device, the Garmin Connect app, and an OpenAI API key from platform.openai.com (a ChatGPT subscription doesn't include API use), or an agent of your own that can use the relay's API. The demo works without either. Features differ by device (voice needs a microphone, for example).
What it costs
AI Remote for watches is sold through Garmin's Connect IQ Store, which handles payment, taxes and refunds under its own terms. AI Remote for Edge, AI Remote Face and AI Remote Ride are free; the face and the ride field work together with AI Remote or AI Remote for Edge.
On top of that, OpenAI bills your own API account for every request GPT makes for you, including automations and voice transcription, at OpenAI's prices. Falkster.com doesn't see or handle that billing. Set a monthly spending limit in your OpenAI account; the relay limits how often GPT runs for a device, but that is not a spending cap.
Your API key
You give the relay your key so it can call OpenAI for your device, and it uses it for nothing else. You can replace it on your settings page, remove it by reconnecting or deleting your data, and revoke it in your OpenAI account at any time. Keep your settings page link private: anyone with it can change your settings.
What GPT says
GPT's answers come from an AI model and can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, including routes and workouts it builds. GPT can't send messages, book, buy or call for you. Falkster.com is not responsible for what GPT or an agent you connect writes or does.
Use it safely
Don't read or answer messages when it isn't safe, such as while riding in traffic. Fitness guidance from GPT is coaching and general wellness information, not medical advice; Garmin's readings are estimates.
Fair use
Use the apps and relay only with your own devices and your own API key or agent, and don't try to break, overload or get around the relay's limits or other people's data. We may suspend a device that does.
Your data
The privacy policy says what the relay stores, what it sends to OpenAI, for how long, and how to get a copy or have it deleted.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the relay running, but it can be unavailable, and OpenAI or Garmin can change in ways that stop features from working, including models and prices. We may change the apps, the relay or these terms; we'll update the date below and, for changes that matter, say so in the app or on this site before they apply.
No warranty, limited liability
To the extent the law allows, AI Remote is provided as is, without warranties, and Falkster.com's total liability for any claim about it is limited to what you paid for the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer laws of your country that can't be limited by agreement.
